Jessica has a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Jessica is also a Certified Gottman Educator of the Bringing Baby Home Program; a program she is very passionate about due to her own experiences.
Jessica has been volunteering and working in the mental health field since 1999. She has had the pleasure of working with adults, adolescents, children, and families in agency, home, school, and community environments. She uses a strengths-based approach to help empower her clients towards wellness and change. Jessica wants her clients to feel confident in themselves and their abilities to reach their counselling goals and to lead lives in which they feel fulfilled. Whether working with an adult, child, or family, Jessica firmly believes in the importance of professional collaboration, where professionals work together to build a team of support to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals.
Jessica believes that everyone deserves healthy relationships, beginning with the one they have with themselves. As individuals, we need to feel good about who you are, we need to be happy with the path that we are on, and we need to feel fulfilled. Feeling good about who we are is the foundation for all the other relationships we build with our friends, our partners, our children, and our family. There will be times in our lives when we will face challenges. Whether those challenges are a bump, a derailment, or a complete roadblock, know that you do not have to face them alone. Jessica is here to listen, support, and empower you.
